OPERATING THESIS

The best compliment I've gotten at work is "I was able to figure it out from your documentation." That's the goal — whether it's a data warehouse, a deployment runbook, or a 9-VLAN home network with its own README.

I think the measure of good engineering is what happens when you leave. Can someone else run your pipeline? Deploy your service? Understand why you made that decision three months ago? That's what I optimize for — not cleverness, but clarity.
